What is an alignment?

A wheel alignment is needed to ensure your vehicle maintains its factory steering adjustment so you do not compromise your tires, suspension or steering system. A Wheel alignment may seem like a minor thing, but it can extend the life of your tires, improve your fuel mileage and have your vehicle handling better than new. Wheels that are out of alignment will cause excessive wear to certain areas of your tires, poor handling, shorter tire life, and even a reduction in fuel efficiency. It doesn’t take much time to correct wheel alignment, and at Sal’s Autoworks, it’s not an expensive service either. That’s why the residents of Morris and Passaic County bring their vehicles here for an alignment.

How do I know if I need an alignment?

The need for a wheel alignment can be identified by the condition of your tire wear. Uneven tire wear, a vehicle pull or an off-center steering wheel is a good indicator that you may be out of alignment. Also, it is a best practice to check your wheel alignment any time your tires are changed... ask us about our wheel alignment CHECK service.

How much does an alignment cost?

When it comes to wheel alignments, there is no one-size-fits-all price as the level of effort and labor time varies based on what type of alignment you require. Please give us a call and we will give you an idea of how much your alignment will cost, dependent on what type of vehicle you’re aligning, what type of alignment you’re requesting, and what aftermarket equipment you may have on your vehicle.

What kind of alignment machine do we use?

One word. HUNTER. Hunter utilizes a high-tech lasers to ensure precision alignments, quick turn around and accuracy. Our in-house wheel alignment rack is designed to cater to lowered profile sports cars. We stay ahead by constantly updating our software to keep up with the latest information on your vehicle and recalibrate our equipment once a year.
